Pavel has a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Concordia University and is a certified professional engineer with the Quebec Order of Engineers.

Pavel has 21 years of experience and has been with Howden since 2000. In the past ten years, he has been at the forefront of the development of the Ventsim CONTROL software tool for mining applications as well as the SmartEXEC HVAC software tool for industrial applications. Recently Pavel has been actively involved in ventilation and pumping simulation consulting for underground mines.

Krzysztof (Kris) Biegaj – Bio Member of the Australian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy (AusIMM) has 25 years+ mining experience in various parts of the World, majority in Australia. Originally from Poland, where he had obtained mining engineering degree with honors. Since early 1986 he has been living and working in Australia. He is a holder of the Western Australian (WA) 1st Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (Metalliferous) and WA 1st Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency (Coal). His experience includes 7 years in underground coal mining in Poland (mine management and mines rescue), 4.5 years with the WA Department of Mines - 2 years as a Special Inspector of Mines/Senior Ventilation Officer based in Karratha and 2.5 years as a District Inspector of Mines/Deputy Regional Mining Engineer in Kalgoorlie. Since April 1992 when he had joined WMC Resources Ltd (then the biggest Mining Company in Australia), he has been working in mine management as Underground Mine Manager, Mining Manager, Relieve-Registered Mine Manager, Registered Mine Manager, General Manager/Director and Business Improvement - Mining Consultant in Australia (majority of it), Russia, Kazakhstan, Ghana, Mongolia and Philippines. Most of his experience has been in underground operations. And in open pit mining, iron ore included. Since 2003 Kris Biegaj in parallel to his mine management work, through his Company Ausvac Mining Pty Ltd has been conducting hands-on mine floor material recovery operations in Australia with the use of the mobile supersucker/giant mobile vacuum cleaner designed and built in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. The machine is based on the late 60-ties of the last Century South Australian machines which have been used to mine opals i.e. designed and constructed in Australia.

Fiona Cessford MSc, MIMMM, PrSciNat is a Corporate Consultant with 30 years’ experience in environment, social and governance (ESG) management. Fiona’s global experience includes ESIAs, permitting, project engineering studies and due diligence studies. As part of multidisciplinary teams, she provides ESG expertise with reference to the relevant financial, industry and globally recognised standards, as well as host country requirements.

James has over 20 years of experience in target generation, exploration discovery, design, management and supervision and Mineral Resource estimation of various commodities globally. James joined SRK in 2005 as a resource and exploration geologist. Between 2014 and 2016 James operated across South America and established and managed the Geology/Mining Department within SRK Consulting (Peru).
During this time he has become a Chartered Geologist and Competent Person (CP) with the Geological Society London.

Prior to joining SRK, James worked in the junior sector across West and Central Africa culminating in the discovery of the Passendro gold project.

During his professional career he has gained experienced in a range of exploration/mining disciplines including mineral exploration practices, planning and management, GIS, resource and grade control drilling and sampling, quality assurance and control protocols, mine infrastructure optimisation, geotechnical logging and slope and ground stability issues.

His responsibilities at SRK ES include exploration programme designs and reviews, Mineral Resource development programmes and exploration risk mitigation and associated project valuation, ranking and optimisation programmes.

He also specialises in governmental/ministerial level advice and liaison and has recently managing mining industry strategy development, technical support, training and advisory services to the Government of Afghanistan and Sultanate of Oman.

Howard founded boutique capital markets advisory firm RK Equity in 2002. He has over 25 years capital markets and investing experience across multiple investment themes in natural resources, including, gold, iron ore and lithium. From 1997-2001 Howard led the institutional equity sales desk of SG Cowen Securities focused on the EMEA region, as well as Japan.

Howard spent the first 5 years of his career as an analyst focused on privatization in Eastern Europe at Thomson Financial and as an investment banker in Budapest, Hungary. Howard holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan and an M.B.A. in Finance from Columbia University. Howard authors the Lithium-ion Bull™ and co-hosts Lithium-ion Rocks podcast, both periodic commentaries about companies supplying lithium and other raw materials that will meet the disruptive demand from the widespread adoption of Electric Vehicles and Utility Storage. Howard speaks regularly at investment conferences and to the financial media about the disruptive battery metals thematic.

Assoc. Prof. Marko Komac, Ph.D., EurGeol #1294, currently an independent consultant, the President of the European Federation of Geologists (EFG), an external researcher at the Faculty for civil engineering at the University of Ljubljana, an Associate Professor for GIS at University of Nova Gorica and a Member of the Intraw Observatory Board as the Treasurer. From 2006 to 2014 Marko was the director of the Geological Survey of Slovenia where he also worked as a part-time researcher. From November 2016 to May 2019 Marko was the member of the Board of EFG, where he served as the External Relations Officer. From 2012 to 2016 he was a Vice-President of the IUGS, and in years 2011 and 2012 he was the President of the EuroGeoSurveys. He has more than 22 year experiences in the field of landslide analyses, geographical information systems (GIS), application of remote sensing in geology, spatial analyses and modelling, geostatistics, mass-movements analyses, management of organisations and teams, and international networking. Currently he’s involved in several EU-funded geological projects. He's an author or co-author of over 500 bibliographic units mainly from the above listed research areas and several times IronMan 70.3 finisher.

Luís Martins, Business & Development, FRAVIZEL

Luis Martins is a geologist with more than 35 years of experience in the exploration and mining sector. He graduated from the Faculty of Sciences of Lisbon (1973) and has a MsC in Economic Geology from the same faculty (1995) and also several national and international post-graduation courses. He was a former Director of the Mineral Resources Department at the Geology and Mining Institute (the Geological Survey) and a former Director of the Mines and Quarries Department at the Directorate-General of Energy and Geology (the Mining Authority). He was the Portuguese representative on the “Raw Materials Supply Group” of DG Enterprise and Industry of the European Commission (June 2010-August 2012) and coordinator of the CYTED Ibero-American Network “Land Use Planning and Mineral Resources”. He has coordinated several national and international technical and research projects in the areas of mineral exploration, environmental geology, and mining heritage.

He was also Colt Resources Inc. Vice-President Business & Development and CEO of Ozdogu Portugal Mining and Exploration Lda.

Currently is also Vice-President of Assimagra, a Portuguese mining association, representing it at Euromines and President of the Cluster Portugal Mineral Resources. He is a member of the High-Level Group of the European Innovation Partnership on Raw Materials and an associate of the Portuguese Association of Geologists.

He has published 110 papers in peer-review publications and presenting oral communications in about 400 national and international events.

I am currently an independent London-based mining professional specializing in growing resource companies. This follows periods as Head of Capital Allocation for ArcelorMittal, as Vice President for Mineral Resource Development for BHP, as Mineral Resource Manager for Barrick in Mali, and as Managing Director of Geovaluation Services.

Tecoma Strategies provides consulting services to companies in the fields of resource optimization, project development, due diligence support, and strategic studies. Current clients are in South Africa, West Africa, Eastern Europe, and Australia.

Matt has been instrumental in developing global resource reporting codes over 25 years and has an intimate knowledge of Competent/Qualified Person requirements. He is a CP in most major commodities and has worked on many major projects and operations worldwide

Ross started his business career with business guru Sir Clive Sinclair of Sinclair Research in Cambridge, before joining Johnson Matthey as Gold Refining Manager (then the worlds largest gold refiners), then as a gold trader at NM Rothschild & Sons (the Chairman of the London Gold Fixing) and later Credit Suisse, where he was a Senior Dealer in physical bullion trading.

Ross has an enviable record within the London Bullion Market in forecasting the gold price over the last decade and is frequently sought by the media for commentary on the bullion markets. Ross has made frequent appearances on TV (BBC, CNBC, CBC) in newspapers (FT. Wall Street Journal) as well as in the newswires (Reuters, Bloomberg and Dow Jones).

Rhona O’Connell has over 35 years’ experience as a commodities analyst, and is a recognised authority in the precious metals sector. She has worked as a metals market analyst in many aspects of the industry, including the mining sector, commodities broking at Rudolf Wolff where she was a major contributor to Wolff’s Guide to the London Metal Exchange, and in the equity markets and investment banking, where at Shearson Lehman the was the Group Precious Metals analyst responsible for advising a wide range of market participants from trading through equities to corporate finance.

She has held Extel ranking (2nd place) in the gold sector and has been the Association of Mining Analysts Commodities Analyst of the year, is a regular contributor to the media, and has a large number of speaking engagements to her name. She was the joint most accurate analyst in the London Bullion Market Association’s survey of the forecast gold price in 2019, and the outright winner of the Fast Markets accuracy forecasts for the precious metals suite in the fourth quarter of the year.

After a number of years running the GFMS metals analysts team at Thomson Reuters she is now the Head of Market Analysis for EMEA & Asia at INTL FCStone.

She holds an honours degree in Law from the University of Cambridge.

Ed O'Keefe is a Director at Synergy Global Consulting, a leading social performance consultancy. Ed has over 20 years of international experience in helping businesses understand and manage their interactions with society. Ed’s expertise lies in developing workable solutions in complex environments through collaborative approaches to developing systems and people. He has done this successfully in over 30 countries, particularly in Eurasia and Africa, with a particular focus on the mining sector. He has worked with organisations such as the Responsible Mining Foundation, De Beers, Ma’aden, AngloGold Ashanti, the ITSCI Programme for responsible mineral supply chains, Bettercoal, ICMM, IFC, UNDP, UNICEF and the French development agency AFD. He currently leads Synergy’s work on due diligence and has led numerous social performance assessments and audits. He also leads Synergy’s training offerings; this includes the development and delivery of the innovative community relations practitioner courses in partnership with the University of Witwatersrand. He worked previously for the UK Department for International Development and with the conservation NGO, Fauna & Flora International.

Aldo Pennini is a corporate affairs executive with 25 years’ experience and a career spanning government, global corporate and international membership organisation. He was recently Director of Communications at the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM) where he engaged multi-stakeholder networks to transform the approach to communications, finding common ground among the world’s leading mining companies on shifting perceptions of the industry.

Prior to that he spent eight years at Anglo American Plc serving as Director of External Affairs in Australia rebranding and positioning the business among key stakeholder groups. During that time he was appointed Chief of Staff in the company’s London headquarters serving two Chief Executives where he acquired a unique perspective on the leadership and operational dynamics at the top of a multinational corporation, as well as establishing an exceptional global industry network.

Aldo began his career in government spending more than 14 years serving as senior policy advisor and Chief of Staff to State Premiers and Ministers in New South Wales and Queensland (Australia) where he shaped policy and negotiated legislation ranging from natural resource management to carbon emissions trading and multicultural affairs.

Hélène Piaget is the CEO of Responsible Mining Foundation, based in Switzerland. The Foundation supports the view that mining is an important contributor to the wellbeing of societies, but that we need to ensure responsible mining actually benefits the economies, improves the lives of peoples and respects the environments of producing countries.

Arthur serves as the Managing Director of Advantix Ltd and Executive Chairman, MINEX Forum.

Arthur has over 20 years’ experience in business communications and organisation of international events in Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, UK, and Continental Europe.

Educated in Ukraine as a Russian & English Teacher and Educational Psychologist, in 1992 Arthur moved to the UK where he has found his new home and turned his passion for Public Relations into a lifetime career.

After gaining management experiences at various international media, training, and events companies, in 2003 Arthur established Advantix Limited – an international firm specialising in organising events and managing communication projects for Natural Resources and Capital Markets. Headquartered in the UK, Advantix Ltd has subsidiaries in Russia and Kazakhstan. Arthur believes that many of today’s issues are the result of misunderstanding and lack of leadership which can be resolved by targeted communications, education, and thinking outside the box. These principles have been successfully implemented at various events and projects undertaken by Advantix Ltd in the past 17 years.

Rasoul completed his studies in processing of primary and secondary raw materials at RWTH. He focuses on physical separation, specially on Sensor and Magnetic based Sorting.

With his technical background he acts as area sales manager in Southern Europe, North Africa and Middle East.

An impassioned advocate of responsible investment, Gavin has been a prominent writer, broadcaster and commentator for over two decades. His book, Frontier, was acclaimed as a “must-read” by the Financial Times. His next book is due for release by Macmillan in Q4 2020 titled Chain Reaction: How Blockchain Will Transform the Developing World.

Gavin’s work leading Bloomberg’s teams of journalists uncovering the world of derivatives that triggered the global financial crisis won him the Society of American Business Editors & Writers’ Best in Business Award and the Society of Professional Journalists’ Deadline Club Award.

Subsequently creating and leading Bloomberg’s Emerging Markets team, Gavin founded New Markets Media & Intelligence to help increase understanding of the challenges and opportunities in emerging markets and technology through his own writing, and through constant and proactive dialogue with the most influential journalists, investors, and leaders. He regularly organizes and chairs key global forums, including the recent Bloomberg Emerging & Frontier Forum and events at Nasdaq and the London Stock Exchange.

Dr. Alper Sezener received his BA in Philosophy, MSc and PhD in Anthropology from Hacettepe University. He studied in business development and leadership program at London Business School. Also, he is graduate candidate in Executive MBA Program of Bilkent University by the end of summer semester 2020. He has twenty years of professional work experience, including national and international construction, oil, natural gas projects and most recently mining operations. He is a Founder Chairman of the Social Impact Assessment Association and Secretary General of the Gold Miners Association in Turkey. He is certified Senior Sustainability Specialist, GRI Reporting Specialist and SA 8000 Internal Auditor. He has published articles and stories in various periodicals, as well as seven published books and five national literary awards in Turkey.

Adam is the Head of Mine Supply at Metals Focus. He is responsible for research and analysis of supply and operating costs across gold, silver and platinum group metals and manages a team of analysts focused on these areas.

Prior to joining Metals Focus Adam was Head of Mine Economics at S&P Global Market Intelligence where he lead research into supply and costs across 15 different commodities. Earlier in his career he worked as a geologist on mines sites and exploration properties in Western Australia.

He has a BSc in Earth Science from the University of Wales Aberystwyth and an MSc in Geochemistry from the University of Leeds.

Mehmet Yılmaz was born in 1964, Elazığ-Turkey. After completion of high school education, he continued with the graduation from the “Geological Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University” in Ankara. Mr. Yılmaz was employed by TUPRAG Metal Madencilik A.Ş., a subsidiary of Eldoradogold, as the field geologist just after the graduation in 1987. While he was working as exploration and senior geologist, he took the responsibility of PR/GR and permitting for TUPRAG in Turkey. He was actively involved with the development, PR/GR, and permitting of Kışladağ and Efemçukuru mines in Turkey. He is currently working as Chairman-Board of Directors of Tuprag and VP&General Manager of Turkey.

Mehmet Yılmaz has also been in South Africa, Brasil, Mexico, USA, and Canada for work and learning about gold mining.

Mr. Yılmaz is married and has a 26 years old daughter

Professor Manuel Regueiro, holds a BSc Geology from the Complutense University of Madrid (1979). Since 2005 he is the Chief of External Affairs of the Geological Survey of Spain (IGME). He has been working (and still works) the last 20 years as a specialist on industrial minerals. Has been Associate Professor of the Department of Crystallography and Mineralogy of the School of Geology of the Complutense University of Madrid. As a researcher he has participated in over 30 research projects. As principal researcher, he has directed 6 research projects. He has a wide and recognized international reputation in his fields of knowledge. He is an active member of a number of scientific societies (Spanish Society of Ceramic & Glass (Member of the Board), Spanish Geological Society, Spanish Society for the Defense of the National Mining and Geological Heritage (former member of the Board)) and has very good relationships with many national mining industrial associations and its European counterparts (Spanish Stone Federation, Spanish National Aggregates Manufacturing Association, Spanish Industrial Minerals Association, etc.). Manuel Regueiro has been the President of the European Federation of Geologists, an organization where he served for two mandates (1996-1999 and 2007-2009) and is currently President of the Spanish Association of Professional Geologists (ICOG) and founding member and former Secretary of the NGO “World Geologists.”
